Spring Fever Scarf

Here's the pattern for my Spring Fever Scarf.  My friend wanted a lime green and hot pink stripped scarf, and the colors really remind me of spring.  The pattern is pretty simple.

Materials:
Size 10 knitting needles (circular or straight, doesn't matter which one)
2 skeins of hot pink Sugar'n Cream yarn
2 skeins of hot green Sugar'n Cream yarn
yarn needle
scissors
Blocking Squares & blocking needles/pins

Holding both strands of Hot Pink Yarn Cast on 16 stitches in Hot Pink Sugar'n Cream Yarn
Row 1-4: Knit 4, Purl 4, Knit 4, Purl 4
Row 5: switch to Hot Green Sugar'n Cream Yarn for pattern (both strands of Hot Green Yarn will be used at one time)
repeat pattern from rows 1-4 in rows 5-8
**Note: while knitting with two colors, you can carry the yarn up the side of the scarf.  Wrap the old yarn over the new when starting the third row in the pattern.
Row 9: switch to pink and follow pattern

Keep following the pattern and switching back and forth between pink and green every four rows. Pretty simple, and very cute.

Baby burp cloth/ wash cloth sets

I've decided to get a head-start on making baby items for my cousin who's expecting in May.  She's found out it's a girl, and making knitted items is so much fun.
The latest project is a set of baby burp cloths and wash cloths that match.  Always handy with a new baby.

The start to the 1st burp cloth.
Almost completed

Flower Baby Headbands

Materials needed:
Size 10 knitting needle (straight or circular)
Worsted Weight Yarn (any kind will do), I used Peaches & Cream and Sugar 'n Cream for mine
Silk Flower
Snap buttons
needle and thread
hot glue gun

With size 10 needle, CO 55 stitches.
Rows 1-5: Garter stitch (Knit All)
Bind Off
Stitch two ends together to make a headband.

Pick some silk flowers to go with your baby headband and clip the stems off.  Glue one end of the snap buttons to the bottom of the flower and sew the opposite end of the snap button onto the headband.  You can have multiple flowers for one band, as the flowers will be interchangeable with the snap buttons.  Pretty simple and make for a great baby gift.
Enjoy!
